Based in Glendale, Arizona -- the Cardinals are a professional football team that was established back in 1898, they became part of the NFL in 1920 and started out playing under the Western division (1933 to 1949); for a period of two years (1950 to 1952) they were part of the American conference and from 1953 to 1969 they played for the Eastern conference century division. From 1970 until today they have been part of the NFC and played for the East division from 1970 all the way to 2001, from 2002 until today they have played under the NFC West division. Their current home field is the University of Phoenix Stadium, the team owner is Bill Bidwill, the general manager is Rod Graves and head coach is Ken Whisenhunt. Championships and important moments: The Arizona Cardinals have had several successful participations in the NFL and even though they have earned any conference championship they made up for it with for division championships, in 1947 and 1948 they were the NFL was division champions and in 1974 as well as in 1975 they were the NFC East division champions. To top it all off that they have had two participations in NFL championships, the first one in 1925 in the last one in 1947. Warner took over the position of Leinart when he suffered a season ending collarbone injury; in 2007 Warner had over 3400 passing yards, of those 27 were passing touchdowns in his numbers are expected to get even better as he spends more time with the first-team which is expected what the head coach is planning to do. The 2008 season is expected to be a great one for the Arizona Cardinals and even though their game against the Saints created a lot of uncertainties that team will keep improving their skills and their experience increase.
